The National Youth Summit Series, held at the National 4-H Conference Center in Chevy Chase, Maryland, brings together some of the best and brightest youth to focus on immersive STEM, agri-science, healthy living, and photography learning opportunities. Designed for high school students (grades 9 – 12), the Summits provide opportunities to learn technical skills, participate in hands-on activities, workshops, and engage with nationally-recognized leaders as well as their peers from across the country. Annually, Iowa sends youth delegations to the Agri-Science, Healthy Living, Photography Summits.
National 4-H Healthy Living Summit: February 12-15, 2021
During the National 4-H Healthy Living Summit, youth participants will develop knowledge and skills in addressing today’s health related issues including nutrition education, physical fitness, wellness, and emotional wellbeing through interactive workshops.
The structure of the summit maximizes the amount of hands-on learning experiences for youth. Participants will attend workshops led by professionals in health and wellness fields and work together to create action plans they can implement in their local communities.
The 2021 summit will take place virtually and participants will have the opportunity to connect with youth from all over the country. Registration cost is $75 to attend three hour, daily sessions from February 12-15. Iowa 4-H will cover the cost of registration for Iowa youth in grades 9-12th who attend the entire national summit and a special Iowa web call following the summit.

National 4-H Agri-Science Summit: March 5-7, 2021
During the National 4-H Agri-Science Summit, youth participants will meet youth from across the country to discuss current issues in agriculture and learn about agri-science careers. Youth delegates from Iowa will work as a team to create solutions for agri-science issues locally in Iowa.
This year’s summit is in a virtual format and will take place March 5-7, 2021. No travel is required. There is a registration cost of $75.
The state 4-H office will support a team of youth led by Youth Extension Specialists, Maya Hayslett and Lynne Campbell. The team of Iowa youth will work together before, during, and after the summit on an action project related to what they learn at the summit. The top candidates selected will receive a reduced registration fee of $25.
