Exciting position teaching an established Nutrition Education Program to qualified families in Wright and Hamilton Counties. Assists in conducting extension education programs in homes or comminity centers by extending information to limited resource families with children.  Topics shared include meal planning, food budgeting and ways to increase physical activity and improve nutrition.

 Tomatoes are a popular part of many Iowa gardens, and with spring here, the time to plant them is approaching. But when is too early to plant? Where should they be planted? And what variety is best for a home garden?

 Four new online training modules are being offered through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach to provide science-based information on food safety liability risks at farmers' markets. The Farmers' Market Food Safety Training course gives vendors and farmers' market managers good agricultural practices for safe food production and handling specific to farmers' markets, with a focus on specialty foods.
