Iowa State University Extension & Outreach: Worth County

Worth County Extension has many programs to offer every group of individuals. We have excellent family programs and resources, wonderful opportunities for youth K-12 to get involved in from 4-H to Clover Kids and more. We have outstanding resources and programs for area farmers and residents. Our office is always a wealth of information for anyone looking for an answer - and if we don't know, we'll find out!

   Worth County 4-H Banquet Sunday, November 8th

     The Worth County 4-H will hold their annual 4-H Awards Banquet on Sunday, November 8th at the First Lutheran Church in Northwood. The evening will begin at 5:30 P.M. with an evening meal catered by Signature’s Supper Club. The program will begin at 6:30 P.M. with awards given for 4-H project record book work, leadership, citizenship involvement and community service that 4-H members and 4-H leaders have participated in over the past year. All 4-H members, 4-H parents and family members are welcome to attend as well as community members interested in youth development. Please call the Worth County Extension office at 641-324-1531 to get signed up for the Signature’s supper.                    Women Land and Legacy Meeting November 12th

        The Winnebago and Worth County Women Land and Legacy Organizations will co-sponsor an educational program for their members on Thursday, November 12th at the Country Inn and Suites, rural Northwood. The evening will begin at 6:00 P.M. with a light meal followed by the program at 6:30 P.M. The featured speaker will be Kelvin Leibold, Iowa State University Extension Farm Management Specialist. Kelvin will share information about Farmland Inheritance.
