New Year - New You!

Join us for this online series designed to start the new year off in better health and wealth.

Join Nancy Clark online from 6:00 - 7:30 PM, January 20 to get Tips for Losing Weight and Keeping It Off.

  • Learn how to determine your body mass index (BMI)
  • Learn about the amount of calories you need each day.
  • Learn tips for losing weight and keeping it off.

You've decided to get to a healthy weight.  Good for you! Did you know that this can lower your chances of heart disease, diabetes, and certain cancers? And staying at a healthy weight can make you feel better.  Now that's something to look forward to!

Then, Begin By Planning Today, on January 27,from 6 - 7:30 PM.  Brenda Schmitt will help you help you take the first step to your future.  Small steps taken today lead to big rewards down the road.  The future you enjoy in later life is built on the decisions you make today. Can you “find” $5.48 per day, $38.46 a week or $167 per month to invest in a tax advantaged retirement account?  If left untouched, at an average 8% rate of return for 48 years you could have more than a million dollars!  Invest a few more dollars each year to reduce the time line to your million dollars.

At age 20 something or 30 something it is difficult to think about you in later life.  Today you are beginning a career, buying a home, getting married, welcoming children into the world, paying off student loans and just trying to get to the next paycheck!

Plan to join us online to learn how to plan for your future.  A fee of $5/class will help to off-set direct expenses and to support the Human Sciences County Extension Program.
For more information contact Brenda Schmitt (641-512-0650 or schmitt@iastate.edu) or Nancy Clark (515-341-0261 or nanclark@iastate.edu).
