Worth County Fair Grandstand Renovation Dedication June 17th

The Worth County Beautification and Worth County Fair Board will dedicate and cut a ribbon to celebrate the newly renovated Worth County Fair Grandstand. The ceremony will take place following a free barbeque meal in the grandstand being served from 5:30 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. during the Worth County Fair on Wednesday, June 17th at 6:45 P.M.
Prior to the dedication there will be a free beef barbeque meal sponsored by POET biorefining at Hanlontown and prepared by the Worth County Cattlemen. Following the 6:45 P.M. ribbon cutting the crowning of the 2015 Worth County Fair Queen will take place on stage in front of the grandstand with Dewey Kruger serving as Master of Ceremonies. The final event of the evening will be an acappella musical performance by “Six Appeal” from the Twin Cities. The group has appeared at State Fairs and the Clay County Fair in Spencer this past September. The night will close out with one lucky free ticket winner of a new John Deere Riding Lawn Mower. Please call the Worth County Extension Office at 641-324-1531 for more information about the event.
