Worth County Extension has many programs to offer every group of individuals. We have excellent family programs and resources, wonderful opportunities for youth K-12 to get involved in from 4-H to Clover Kids and more. We have outstanding resources and programs for area farmers and residents. Our office is always a wealth of information for anyone looking for an answer - and if we don't know, we'll find out!

2016 Worth County Fair Queen 

The Fair Board is inviting and encouraging nominations for 2016 Worth County Fair Queen Candidates.  The crowning ceremonies will take place on Wednesday, June 15th at 7:00 PM at the Worth County Fairgrounds Shelter House.  Queen contestants must be residents of Worth County and between ages 16 to 21.  Those wanting registration information or who want to get signed up are asked to please call the Extension Office at 641-324-1531 or contact Worth County Fair Queen Contest Committee Members, Kim Hennigar at 641-390-0753 or Sarah Innes at 402-679-2498.

Worth County 4-H Lamb Weigh-in Saturday, April 16th

                The Worth County Fair 4-H sheep weigh-in will be held on Saturday, April 16th at the Worth County Fairgrounds in Northwood. The weigh-in will take place from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. All market lambs and breeding ewe lambs that will be exhibited at the Worth County Fair on Sunday, June 19th must be weighed in. Those wanting further information about the lamb weigh-in are asked to please call Worth County Extension Education Specialist, Dennis Johnson at the Worth County Extension Office in Northwood at 641-324-1531 or E-Mail him at djohn@iastate.edu.
