    Sixth Grade 4-H Garden Meeting August 5th

 

        The Worth County Extension Service will host a sixth grade 4-H Garden Educational meeting on Wednesday, August 5th at 6:00 P.M. with a free meal and 7 P.M. meeting. The featured speaker for the program will be Bill Doubler, Iowa State University Extension Master Gardner. Participants will learn about when and how to harvest their garden produce and what are various ways to prepare their garden vegetables for their family to enjoy at meal time. All 2014-2015 Northwood-Kensett 6th graders, their parents and brothers and sisters are welcome to attend. Statewide Resources

    Every June, 1000 teenagers converge on the Iowa State University campus for 3 days of speakers, workshops, mixers, dances, a banquet, and community service activities. If you've completed 8th-12th grade, you're eligible to attend. Non-4-H members are welcome.

  • Provides opportunities for youth to demonstrate, learn and apply project and communication skills. Every year the 4-H Exhibits Building features well over 3,000 exhibits and Livestock shows engage more than ## youth.
