“What You Need to Know Before Making and Selling Prepared Foods” is a free workshop that will presented in Woodbury County by Iowa Department of Inspections and Appeals Compliance Officer James Romer, on Dec. 1, 2014. This workshop will address different license types, licensing requirements, governing regulations and further informational resources involved in food sales to consumers, retail and institutions in Iowa.

Local foods are making an economic impact in Iowa. In fact, sales of food produced in northwest Iowa added $312,441 to the local economy in 2012 as reported by eighteen farmers in the northwest region.
