Iowa State University Extension - Woodbury County is excited to announce that a new building is in the works!  The building will help Woodbury County Extension better meet the needs of the residents of Woodbury County and the region.

Ash trees around Siouxland are dropping their leaves. The leaf drop is likely due to anthracnose.  Anthracnose is a common fungal disease of trees in Iowa. Woodbury County Extension office has received numerous calls this week from all over Siouxland about the problem.

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach - Woodbury County will present Soil To Supper focusing on vegetables.  ISU Extension Health and Nutrition Program Specialist Renee Sweers and Master Garden Coordinator Laurie Taylor will host workshops on preparing your soil for planting, planting and cooking vegetables on Monday, April 21, Monday May 5 and Monday June 30 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Woodbury County Extension, 4301 Sergeant Road, #209, Sioux City.

Homegrown Lifestyle  is a course for folks living on a large lot or small acreage who are interested in producing food for their own use in a way that sustains their natural environment. Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is offering the course this spring at several Iowa locations.
