The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship has announced an order to cancel all live bird exhibitions at county fairs, the Iowa State Fair, and other gatherings of birds due to avian influenza.

The Woodbury County 4-H Foundation is accepting applications for their educational incentive to be awarded to high school seniors who have been in 4-H for more than four years.

The Woodbury County 4-H Foundation has established a mini-grant program which is designed to encourage 4-H members and clubs to carry out projects which will benefit the community. The Foundation will provide up to $100 in matching funds to help clubs or individual 4-H’ers get the money they need to complete a community project.

Youth who have an interest in learning more about archery are invited to become a part of the 4-H Shooting Sports club and participate in upcoming archery classes. Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach - Woodbury County will be offering the program at Midtown Family Community Center, 14th & Nebraska, Sioux City, with certified instructors Kee Ann Mulfinger and Rich Gettner.
