The Woodbury County 4-H Foundation is accepting applications for their educational incentive to be awarded to high school seniors who have been in 4-H for more than four years.

The Woodbury County 4-H Foundation has established a mini-grant program which is designed to encourage 4-H members and clubs to carryout projects which will benefit the community. The Foundation will provide up to $100 in matching funds to help clubs or individual 4-H’ers get the money they need to complete a community project. The Woodbury County 4-H Foundation has begun their annual fund drive. Donations will be used to offer educational incentives to graduating seniors, to provide financial assistance for youth participating in 4-H youth programs, and to provide funds when needed to start new 4-H clubs.  If you would like to make a tax deductible donation, please download a brochure by clicking here or call (712) 276-2157 to request that a brochure be sent to you.

Iowa State University is offering a spring 2013 online course covering the production and management of vegetable crops. Web-based Vegetable Crop Production and Management (HORT 493) will be taught by Ajay Nair, vegetable specialist with ISU Extension and Outreach.
