4-H Youth Development

4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults. Membership in a 4-H club provides youth opportunities to develop skills and meaningful relationships they will carry with them throughout their lives. 4-H clubs participate in programming in these four program priority areas:

  • Healthy Living
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
  • Citizenship and Leadership
  • Communication and the Arts

Choose your club!

Choose your club based on location, age, or special interest. Club leader information is available on the 4-H Club page. Leaders can provide information about club activities, meeting times, and membership. Assistance can also be provided by our County Youth Coorindinators in helping you find the club that best fits your child’s interests!

Register

Once you’ve found your club, register through 4-H Online. Enrollment is from September 15th through May 15th, with a fee of $40 per 4-H youth (grades 4-12) and $5 per Clover Kid (grades K-3). Program fees support the county and state 4-H program.  If you feel that this fee would constitute an undue financial burden, financial aid is available from the Iowa 4-H Foundation.
