4-H Clover

The 4-H Program creates a supportive environment for youth to reach their full potential through educational activities for youth.

 

Age: Youth are eligible to join 4-H in fourth grade through twelfth grade.

 

4-H Clubs: There are about 24 clubs located throughout Woodbury County.  Families may join a club of their choice.  Each club has adults who volunteer to help members.

 

Meetings: Club meetings are held once a month.  The meetings consists of recreation, business meeting, presentations and refreshments.

 

Members: Youth are to attend club meetings, participate in 4-H events, set goals, evaluate their 4-H experiences and have fun while learning.

 

Projects: Youth learn new skills through project work.  There are over a 100 different project areas.  Part of the fun of project work is being able to exhibit at the County Fair.

 

Parents/guardians are an important part of 4-H.  Parents are encourage to attend meetings and participate in 4-H activities.

Volunteering Opportunities for Adults: 4-H has many opportunities for adults to volunteer, from a single event to a whole year or being a club leader and beyond.
