Landowners, tenants, and ag professionals are encouraged to attend a farmland leasing meeting scheduled for Friday, July 17. The meeting will be held at Bluff's Area Family Center, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, from at 1:30 p.m. according to Ron Hook, farm management specialist, Iowa State University Extension.

Hook will present current leasing information including the latest land value survey and cash rent survey. “We will be examining the cost of crop production and the possibilities for using flexible leases,” said Hook.
The basic provisions of the A.C.R.E. program contained in the 2008 Farm Bill will be presented. The possible impacts of the A.C.R.E. enrollment decision will be discussed at the meeting.
