4-H Shooting Sports have Air Rifle & Archery Classes Available
Young people who have an interest in learning more about Air Rifles, and Archery are invited to become a part of the 4-H Shooting Sports club. Volunteers and staff from Iowa State University (ISU) Extension-Woodbury County will be offering the program at Midtown Family Community Center, 14 & Nebraska, Sioux City, IA. Archery classes will be offered on Tuesdays, September 18-October 23 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Air Rifle classes will be offered Thursdays, September 20 -October 25 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Also new this year will be monthly club meetings, advanced classes and competitions!
All Shooting equipment needed for the students will be offered.
To pre-register,contact the Iowa State University Extension- Woodbury County, (712) 276-2157, or e-mail laurajoh@iastate.edu. Parents are required to sign release forms in order for youth to participate. The classes are open to the first 12 youth to pre-register.
4-H Shooting Sports is a national program that teaches physical and emotional development of youth through a safe involvement in a shooting related activity. The program covers the highest standards of safety, sportsmanship and ethical behavior.
4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills.
