Iowa State University Extension - Woodbury County is excited to announce that a new building is in the works!  The building will help Woodbury County Extension better meet the needs of the residents of Woodbury County and the region. 

April 17, 2014

ISU Extenison-Woodbury County will host the Strengthening Families Program for parents and children ages 10-14 beginning Wednesday, April 30 through Wednesday, June 11.  Classes will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. beginnging with a family meal (provided) at Midtown Family Community Center, 525 14th St., Sioux City.

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach - Woodbury County will present Soil To Supper focusing on vegetables.  ISU Extension Health and Nutrition Program Specialist Renee Sweers and Master Garden Coordinator Laurie Taylor will host workshops on preparing your soil for planting, planting and cooking vegetables on Monday, April 21, Monday May 5 and Monday June 30 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Woodbury County Extension, 4301 Sergeant Road, #209, Sioux City

Iowa State University Extension - Woodbury County is offering several ServSafe® classes for food service professionals. ServSafe® training will provide knowledge every food service provider must know about. Food hazards and proper food handling practices in order to keep food safe and protect the establishment against the costly nightmare of a foodborne-illness outbreak. Participants will learn ways of prevention, regulatory requirements, and how to improve food quality. The next class in Sioux City will beheld on Tuesday, June 3.

Financial security begins early in life and continues each time we choose to spend, save or invest our money.  Money management is a life time process.  Join other people of all ages who are interested in taking charge of their finances.  The Money Talk series will help you learn to take charge of your money. The three weekly sessions will be offered at ISU Extension - Woodbury County, 4301 Sergeant Rd. #209, Sioux City, beginning Tuesday, April 15.
