Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is seeking qualified candidates for a Field Specialist II – Community Vitality Innovation – Latino Outreach with a joint appointment within Community & Economic Development and Human Sciences. This position is a jointly sponsored Extension position by Iowa State University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln – Cooperative Extension. This position will be an employee of Iowa State University and will have a contract educator affiliation with Nebraska Extension.

Iowa State University Extension - Woodbury County is excited to announce that a new building is in the works!  The building will help Woodbury County Extension better meet the needs of the residents of Woodbury County and the region.

Gardeners have the opportunity this summer to learn about theme gardens, planting trough gardens, water features and conservation, attracting butterflies and bees, and growing herbs. The Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach “Growing Season” webinar series will be offered at the ISU Extension and Outreach – Woodbury County offices on June 23, July 21 and August 11.

The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship has announced an order to cancel all live bird exhibitions at county fairs, the Iowa State Fair, and other gatherings of birds due to avian influenza.

Available today is the ISU Extension and Outreach Cash Rent Survey for 2015. This survey shows typical cash rental rates for corn and soybean acres, as well as for land devoted to hay, oats, and pasture.
