Bring your family, club and friends to the Woodbury County Fairgrounds, 210 Fair Street in Moville on Wednesday, June 19, for an evening of geocaching fun.  Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location.  Extended deadline to Monday, June 17 for this fun family event!

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach in cooperation with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will offer manure applicator certification workshops for dry/solid manure operators on seven different dates and locations in February.

Iowa State University is offering a spring 2013 online course covering the production and management of vegetable crops. Web-based Vegetable Crop Production and Management (HORT 493) will be taught by Ajay Nair, vegetable specialist with ISU Extension and Outreach.

  • One-on-one financial counseling, computerized analysis of the farm business, and referral to other extension programs or outside services that may be useful in farm financial planning.

  • The Value Added Agriculture Program (VAAP) provides unbiased, science-based information to help establish or expand agricultural-related businesses in Iowa.

  • Helping to make agriculture more energy efficient. Tips and pointers on equipment maintenance and operation, farmstead electric use, and fuel efficiency.

  • An educational program dedicated to strengthening women's roles in the modern farm enterprise.
