Iowa State University Extension - Woodbury County is excited to announce that a new building is in the works!  The building will help Woodbury County Extension better meet the needs of the residents of Woodbury County and the region.

The College of Design, in conjunction with ISU Extension and Outreach, offers two workshops—Explore Design! and Design Innovation—for middle and high school students entering sixth grade through recent graduates.  Register online via the links from the workshop dates below. The Explore Design! workshop fee is $10; the Design Innovation fee is $20. There is also an option to register for both Explore Design! and Design Innovation workshops in a single week for a combined $25 registration fee. Special accommodations are available upon request for dietary or accessibility needs.

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach - Woodbury County will present Soil To Supper focusing on vegetables.  ISU Extension Health and Nutrition Program Specialist Renee Sweers and Master Garden Coordinator Laurie Taylor will host workshops on preparing your soil for planting, planting and cooking vegetables on Monday, April 21, Monday May 5 and Monday June 30 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Woodbury County Extension, 4301 Sergeant Road, #209, Sioux City.

Financial security begins early in life and continues each time we choose to spend, save or invest our money.  Money management is a life time process.  Join other people of all ages who are interested in taking charge of their finances.  The Money Talk series will help you learn to take charge of your money. The three weekly sessions will be offered at ISU Extension - Woodbury County, 4301 Sergeant Rd. #209, Sioux City, beginning Tuesday, April 15.

  • Reports of recent and historical trends in the local retail trade sector by city.

  • Nonprofit Management Academies enhance the management skills of those serving nonprofit sector.

  • Helping the College of Engineering and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach carry out their land-grant university mission to improve the quality of life in Iowa by enhancing the performance of Iowa industry.

  • The CVC facilitates networking among small and medium size rural communities, sponsors policy analyses, engages communities in dialogue, and fosters discussion among rural and urban interests.

  • Data on each county in Iowa including population demographics, education, retail sales, personal income, employment, occupation, housing, and family characteristics.

  • Provides opportunities for youth to develop skills they can use now and throughout their life, empowering them to reach their full potential working and learning in partnership with caring adults.

  • Specialists have compiled a list of resources to help you prepare for and recover from natural disasters. Remember to take care of yourself and your family first; then deal with the things lost to the disaster.
