From the Ground Up: Creating a Plan to Grow Your Farm Business - From the Ground Up is a 9-week course to help farmers develop their business strategy for their farming operation. Attendees include aspiring, new, young, and established farmers who want to learn more about assessing their current farm position and develop a business plan. Become part of this learning community—share experiences: pitfalls and success strategies with fellow farmers.

ISU Extension and Outreach will host a Dairy Start to Farm program at Dordt College beginning Nov. 17 and continuing throughout the winter. The program is free to participate in and is geared towards dairy producers in their first 10-12 years of farming.

Available now is the ISU Extension and Outreach Cash Rent Survey for 2016. This survey shows typical cash rental rates for corn and soybean acres, as well as for land devoted to hay, oats, and pasture.

After more than 30 years in its current offices, Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach – Woodbury County broke ground on April 27, 2015 for a new building at 4728 Southern Hills Drive.
