4-H Shooting Sports Offer Air Rifle and Archery Classes

Young people who have an interest in learning more about Air Rifles, and Archery are invited to become a part of the 4-H Shooting Sports club. Volunteers and staff from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach (ISUEO) - Woodbury County will be offering the program at Midtown Family Community Center, 14th & Nebraska, Sioux City, IA. Archery classes will be offered on Wednesdays, February 22- March 21 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Air Rifle classes will be offered on Thursdays, February 23- March 22 from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

The 2012 Siouxland Garden Show will be held Friday, March 16 and Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Marina Center in South Sioux City, Neb. The show will include educational exhibits, presentations, how-to sessions and commercial exhibitors.

Sheryl McGowan inducted into Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame

After many years of dedication to 4-H in Iowa, Sheryl McGowan of Sioux City has been inducted into the 2011 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame. Eighty-eight Iowa counties participated this year and selected 121 inductees for their outstanding service and dedication to 4-H.

ISU Design West Announces Design It! Workshops 2011-2012

ISU Design West will host Design It!, a series of four workshops (two in fall, two in spring) for high school juniors and seniors interesting in exploring community design challenges related to architecture, urban planning, graphic design, interior design and landscape architecture.
