February 15, 2017

The Midstates Community and Economic Development Conference brings together large and small communities from the tri-state area to share experiences and gain new ideas on community and economic development. Taking place on April 6, 2017 at the Marina Inn in South Sioux City, Midstates brings knowledgeable speakers with hands-on experience to share community and economic development strategies with community and business leaders, mayors, city council members, county supervisors, development groups, chambers of commerce, community volunteers and anyone else who has a stake in building up their communities.

Just in time for spring, you’re invited to the 11th annual Siouxland Garden Show, Friday, March 24 and Saturday, March 25 at the Sioux City Convention Center, 801 4th St., Sioux City. With regional and local speakers, how-to sessions, make and take projects and businesses and organizations from around the Siouxland area, the Siouxland Garden Show has something for everyone!

February 10, 2017

Woodbury County 4-H is hosting a “Mad” Makerspace Open House on March 6, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Midtown Family Community Center at 525 14th Street, Sioux City. Youth in 4th – 12th grades and their parents are invited to attend.

February 8, 2017

Woodbury County 4-H is sponsoring an ‘Hour of CodeTM’ event on April 25, 2017 from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at the Woodbury County Extension Office at 4728 Southern Hills Drive, Sioux City. Children in Kindergarten through 3rd grade and their parents are invited to attend, whether they are 4-H members or not. Pre-registration is required by April 21, in order to ensure that every child in attendance will have the opportunity to participate in hands-on coding opportunities.

NOTE: If you had planned on attending on the original date of Feb. 23, the event has been postponed until April 25 due to a blizzard warning. For more information, call (712) 276-2157
