Farmers and landowners will learn about the new programs authorized by the Agricultural Act of 2104 (commonly referred to as the Farm Bill) at an informational meeting conducted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and local USDA Farm Service Agency staff members.  Several meetings have been scheduled across northeast Iowa.

The purpose of the Winneshiek County Cattlemen's Beef Opportunity Program is to aid and inspire young individuals in getting a start in the beef industry.  The W.C.C.A. is giving grants to young individuals in 6th - 10th grade toward the purchase of a beef-breeding female.
