Winneshiek County Extension brings Iowa State University to you

The Stakeholders Report  for 2008 highlights some of the activities of the past year in our county.  Take a look - you will be amazed at the number of people whose lives have been enriched by their contact with ISU Extension.

One of the many yearly activities involves a tree seedling give away to the county's first graders.  View our master gardeners explaining the care of these seedlings and presenting the seedlings to the Decorah 1st Graders

Pinebluff 4-H Camp      junior camp

Winneshiek County is the home of the well known Pinebluff 4-H camp.  This year's calendar was full of many area 4-H camps, county club camping adventures and many family reunions.

For more information on this camp, check out the  Pinebluff 4-H Camp website.

Pinebluff 4-H Camp is 115 acres of pine-covered bluffs, beautiful trails, and wild river located in northeastern Iowa's Winneshiek County.

Pinebluff is owned and operated by the Winneshiek County 4-H Foundation in cooperation with Iowa State University Extension.  It is a camp for youth, an outdoor laboratory for schools, a retreat site for families and other groups, and a valuable forest and wildlife habitat.  It is available by arrangement for any youth or adult group to use.

Each year, 4-H'ers, parents and Foundation Board members gather to clean up and get the camp ready for the upcoming camping season - see the group in action.
