Forage Testing For Beef Producers
The focus is on hay and silages samples impacted by floods, rain or delayed harvest.
The Iowa Beef Center will offer producers 50% cost-share ($6.20/sample) on a maximum of three forage samples analyzed and assistance in ration balancing. Producers can request sample bags, information forms and a hay probe from the County Extension Office. Producers will bring their cored samples to the Extension Office, along with their completed forms.
For more information, contact Winnebago County Extension 641-584-2261 or Russ Euken, ISU Extension Beef Program Specialist 641-923-2856.
