4-H'ers

4-H'ers in Winnebago County were recognized for their many achievements for the 2009-2010 4-H year at the 4-H Awards Banquet which was held Sunday, November 21st at the Round Up in Thompson.

Local 4-Hers recognized during the Project Awards portion of the program include:
Forest Everreadies club members: Hannah Buffington, Jenna Haugen, Kylie Holst, Rachel Holst, Halle Jo Johnson, Ashley Olson, Jane Walrod, and Logan West.

 

Grant Gleaners: Jessica Adams, Katelin Frerichs, Carly Main, Kendall Melz, Noah Melz, Mark Milbrandt, Steven Milbrandt, Megan Moklestad, Elizabeth Hanson Roe, Jonathan Roe, and Aaron Weaver.

 

Logan Loganeers: Alec Anderson, Abbey Bray and Hallie Erdahl.

 

King Klovers:  Haley Engeseth and Samantha Sevley.

 

Junior Achievement Award winners demonstrate a positive attitude, participate in club and fair activities and have done outstanding work in one or more project areas.  Winners of the Junior Achievement Award are Alec Anderson, Cheyanne Chapin, Zachary Dirksen, Haley Engeseth, Nathaniel Foell, Jenna Haugen, Madelynn Krutsinger, Steven Milbrandt, Megan Moklestad, Kendalyn Morgan, Nathan Porter, and Samantha Sevley.

 

Outstanding 4-H’ers Awards: Junior 4-H’ers (4, 5, or 6th grades) – Abbey Bray (Logan Loganeers), Halle Jo Johnson (Forest Everreadies), and Samantha Sevley (King Klovers).

Intermediate 4-H’ers (7th or 8th grades) – Megan Moklestad (Grant Gleaners), Danielle Scherb (Logan Loganeers), and Logan West (Forest Everreadies).

Senior 4-H’ers (9th-12th grades) – Hallie Erdahl (Logan Loganeers), Ceara Fjeld (Forest Everreadies), Justin Murray (Grant Gleaners), and Tony Wubben (King Klovers).

 

Recipient of the Chicago Awards Trip and the Media Reporting Award is Tony Wubben of King Klovers.  The Merit Award, which recognizes a senior 4-H’er was received by Ceara Fjeld of the Forest Everreadies.

 

Two 4-H’ers were selected for Outstanding Record Books: Abbey Bray of Logan Loganeers and Halle Jo Johnson of Forest Everreadies.  Brandon Willmert of the 4-H Sharp Shooters was recognized with a trophy for his accomplishments during Trap Shoot League.

 

Following the Awards program, 4-H’ers and families enjoyed chili and desserts.  We would like to thank Denny Thompson for donating the use of the Round Up
