ATTENTION MANURE APPLICATORS: We offer to reshow the Manure Programs on 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month for those that were unable to attend a workshop.  Commercial Manure (3 hours in length) will be shown at 9:00 a.m. and Confinement Manure (2 hours in length) will be shown at 1:30 p.m.  If special arrangments must be made a $10.00 fee will be charged per participant.  You must call and register at least a day ahead of time.  If we have no one register, neither program will be shown.  Please contact the Winnbago County Extension office at 641-584-2261641-584-2261 or e-mail xwinnebago@iastate.edu

ISU Extension and Outreach - Winnebago County and the Forest City Y have teamed up to offer a new program series, called Building Stronger Families. Three learning workshops are available to the public, free of charge, and will be held at the Forest City YMCA. The first two sessions, Discipline: Balancing Love and Limits will be held on February 22nd and March 21st. The third session held on April 18th is entitled Spend Smart; Eat Smart. ISU Extension and Outreach Field Specialists will be presenting the programs. Pre-registration is requested by calling 641-585-5220 or stopping at the Forest City Y. Childcare is available (ages 3-grade 5) for a fee of $2/child per session.  Click here for full program flyer.

Grain Marketing Strategies and Education for Women

Farm women participating in Women Marketing Grain Program  will  learn basic marketing strategies, principles and risk management  as part of an operations full marketing plan. In addition, this will provide an opportunity to network with other farmwomen and women in agriculture businesses.

4 Session Course -  Starting  January 19 & 26, February 2 & 9  @ 6:30 P.M.         Cost $40.00
