Program: Provide EE curriculum, programming, materials, and develop individualized schedules for schools (K-12) and youth groups; plan and coordinate workshops for teachers, naturalists, and youth group leaders on EE and natural resource topics (contact office for a fee schedule); offer outdoor skill opportunities for nontraditional audiences

FISHERIES MANAGEMENT FACILITY

Program: Admission to the public aquarium is free with tours by appointment; visitors can learn about the fish of the Mississippi, the trout of northeast Iowa, reptiles (especially turtles) of the area, freshwater mussels, and fisheries in general; the Guttenberg facility is responsible for the operation and management of Mississippi pools No. 9, 10, 11 and coordination between the Fish and Wildlife Service and the Army Corps of Engineers in the states of Iowa and Wisconsin; Northern pike are raised (April) and the fry are distributed through Iowa as required by fisheries managers
