Program: DeSoto Refuge is particularly noted for the mid-November arrival of a half million snow geese. The visitor center/museum is self-interpreting; special interpretive programs with National Wildlife Week, Prairie Appreciation Week, etc.; orientation talks for groups with advance notice; off-site programs for groups upon request; curriculum-based EE activities for schools; volunteer naturalist/guides; teacher workshops
