The Federal Government created the National Do Not Call Registry to make it easier and more efficient for you to reduce the number of unwanted calls. You can call toll free 1-888-382-1222. Your registration is free and will be effective for five years. Most telemarketers should not call once it has been on the registry for 31 days starting January 1, 2005. If you do continue to receive unwanted calls you can file a complaint by calling 1-888-CALL-FCC. To further reduce calls just say, "Put me on your Do Not Call list". They are required to comply with your request.
