Grain Marketing Course for Farm Women

Iowa State University (ISU) Extension is offering Women Marketing Grain, Pre-Harvest, in Glenwood, Iowa. The course provides farm women a chance to practice their marketing skills in a no-risk environment. Women Marketing Grain, Pre-Harvest gives farm women confidence in carrying out a market plan based on bushels, dates, prices, and tools. Through a game, participants understand how a marketing plan works and reacts to real-life price fluctuations.

Training for Foodservice Workers Scheduled

A ServSafe training designed for food service workers by the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation has been scheduled for Tuesdays, March 2nd and 9th according to class instructor Pat Anderson, ISU Extension Program Specialist. The course is appropriate for restaurants, hospitals, school food service, nursing homes and others who prepare and serve food to the public.

2010 All-Iowa Hort Expo is Coming Soon

The Iowa State Horticultural Society (ISHS) will sponsor the second annual All-Iowa Hort Expo March 19-20, 2010 at the Bridge View Center in Ottumwa. This year's expo looks to be bigger and better than last year due to a major boost in the form of a $14,000 USDA Grant.
