Meeting Minutes - 05/04/08
The Dayton Tigers 4-H club met May 4th, 2008, at the Dayton Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 5:00 by president Alyssa Lundgren. Roll call was answered by 17 members and 5 leaders. Charlie told the club about the aerospace projects plane ride, and we talked about ID sheets for livestock. New business discussed was conference registration forms are due May 15, fair packets, junior camp, and fair booth ideas. Abby Anderlik gave a presentation on How to ear tag different types of animals. A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Libby Anderlik, seconded by Colin Murphy. Kelsey Dodson, reporter.
Meeting Minutes - 02/10/08
The Dayton Tigers 4-H club met Sunday February 10th, 2008, at the Dayton Community Center. The meeting was called to order by President Alyssa Lundgren. Roll call was answered by 21 members. The secretary’s report was given by Mel Oeltjenbruns. We discussed old business, reminding 4-Hers exhibiting livestock to complete their FSQA training. We also talked about county interviews and discussed tips that would be helpful in future interviews. New business discussed was skating at the Gowrie skating rink for our March meeting on March 2nd 1:30-4:30. We will have pizza and a short meeting afterwards. We also decided to donate $3 per member for the 4-Hers for 4-H campaign. Charlie Dodson, recreation leader, led the birthday line game. Meeting Minutes - 01/06/08
The Dayton Tigers 4-H club met January 6th, 2008, at the Dayton Community Center. The meeting was called to order by President Alyssa Lundgren. 16 members were present. The secretary’s report was read by Mel Oeltjenbruns, and the treasurer's report was given by Jordan Ganeff. Old business discussed was scholarships for the seniors are due to the state extension office by February 1st, we discussed what to expect for county interviews January 27th and 28th, taking down the festival of lights January 12th for our community service project, and we discussed ideas for our winter fun activity, date is set for March 2nd. New business discussed was adding projects to your enrollment forms, this has to be done by May 1st. Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Emily Oeltjenbruns and seconded by Caitlin Pace. Charlie Dodson did a presentation on collecting cards, and Tracy Oeltjenbruns, Libby Anderlik, Torrie Ferrari, and Caitlin Pace did a presentation on care free hangers. Recreation leader Melanie Lambert led the club in the toilet paper game. Snacks and drinks were served. Kelsey Dodson, reporter.
Meeting Minutes - 10/07/07
The Dayton Tigers held their monthly meeting on Sunday, October 7th at the Dayton Community Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. President Lindsay Mickelson called the meeting to order and led with the Pledge of Allegiance. Lindsay conducted the roll call with what is your favorite color. 23 members were present, one new member, leaders and parents. Lindsay read the secretary’s report. Kelsey Dodson gave the treasurer’s report. Old Business – A thank you from the Food Pantry was read. We also received first place in the Dayton Labor Day Parade. We received $100.00 for first place. It was voted to send $50.00 of that to the Food Pantry. We were reminded that this is National 4H week and we are to wear our 4H shirts to school. We signed up for committees for the coming 4H year. We handed in record books. New Business – We elected new Officers for the coming year. Those officers are: President – Alyssa Lundgren; Vice President – Lindsay Mickelson; Secretary – Melanie Oeltjenbruns; Treasurer – Jordan Ganeff; Reporter – Kelsey Dodson; Photographer & Historian – Jossie Ferrari & Kierra Eldridge; and Recreation Leaders – Melanie Lambert, Abby Anderlik, Charlie Dodson and Caitlin Pace. We made placemats for the November Award Banquet. We worked on filling out our enrollment sheets for the coming year. We will have a family potluck at the November 4th meeting. We will also install officers and new members at that meeting. We welcomed Brad and Angie Lambert as new leaders to the Dayton Tigers. No presentations were given. Sheldon Richardson and Tanner Van Every served cookies and drinks. Meeting was adjourned by Colin Murphy, seconded by Tanner Van Every. The meeting was closed with the 4H Pledge. Meeting Minutes - 09/09/07
The Dayton Tigers held their monthly meeting on Sunday, September 9th at the Dayton Community Center beginning at 5:00 p.m. President Lindsay Mickelson called the meeting to order and led with the Pledge of Allegiance. Fifteen members were present, 3 leaders and parents. No secretary’s report was given. Kelsey Dodson gave the treasurer’s report. The treasurer’s report was approved. Some bills were presented to the club. They were approved and paid. Old Business –We did well with our homemade ice cream sale at the fair this past year. Our booth received most creative and the comments were read to the club members. The flea market went well. We read a thank you from Linda Cline. We also discussed the upcoming CWF trip and how to earn points for that trip. We collected $63.00 for the local food pantry and four large boxes of food at the Labor Day Parade. New Business – Those applying for county awards, scholarships and the Chicago award trip were reminded that their record books are due today. All other record books are due at the October 7th meeting. Historian, Secretary and Treasurer book are due at the next meeting as well. We voted to have our annual potluck supper at the November meeting. We will include this with our installation of new officers and new members. That meeting will be held November 4th at 5:00 p.m. at the Dayton Community Center. We made thank you cards for New Cooperative to thank them for their $10.00 per member donation to each club. We signed up for serving committees, presentations, and community service activities for the coming year. It was tabled until October to elect new officers for the coming year. We discussed some ideas for National 4H week. We voted to go to the Boxholm center sometime during the week of September 17th to talk to the 4th graders. We also decided to wear our 4H shirts to school during the first week in October. We were informed that Dave Fisher will not be a leader for the upcoming 2007-2008 year. We will need to ask parents to volunteer as a new leader in our club. It was opened up to any parent that would be willing to help. Next meeting will be held Sunday, October 7th at 5:00 p.m. at the Dayton Community Center. Sheldon Richardson and Tanner VanEvery will serve as hosts. Drinks and cookies were served by the leaders. Meeting was adjourned by Kelsey Dodson, seconded by Charlie Dodson. The meeting was closed with the 4H Pledge.
