Management Options for Lenders and Agri-businesses

      The annual Pro-Ag Outlook meeting is scheduled for Wednesday November 7th starting at 4 p.m..  The first speaker will beDr. Chad Hart. Chad will discuss the market outlook for corn and soybeans. The U.S. has faced one of the driest years on record and the size of the corn and soybean crop is still uncertain. How big is the crop and what will happen to demand in the coming months? You won’twant to miss the information on the production and demand for corn and soybeans in the coming months.  The second speaker for the evening is Dr. Lee Schulz presenting on the outlook for beef and pork. Lee will also be discussing how the livestock industry may respond to current production costs and future demand. What will higher grain prices and a stagnant global economy mean for the future of the meat industry?  The third speaker for the evening is Kelvin Leibold, Extension Economist, highlighting the changes coming to the Corn Suitability Rating system and corresponding impacts. He will also provide a brief update on programs available from Extension and resources for dealing with stress. 

     The meeting will be held Wednesday, November 7th at the Webster County Extension Office which is locatedat the southeast corner of the Crossroads Mall between Younkers and Sears in Fort Dodge.  The registration fee is $35 ($40 at the door) per person or $50 per couple and includes dinner.  Registration will be from 3:30 to 4:00 p.m.
