C/C Sidekicks

The C/C Sidekicks 4-H Club met May 8, 2016 at the Trinity United Methodist Church.  The meeting was called to order by Carlie Shing-Hon with 9 members, 2 leaders and 4 guests present.  The secretary’s report was read by Carlie Shing-Hon and the treasurer’s report was given by Kennedy.  Committee reports were Brushy Creek Park Clean-up & D/SAOC Cake Auction.  Old business discussed:  club t-shirt reorder and Almost Home Shelter project.  New business discussed:  fair packets & quiz; club trip to Fort Frenzy; & Frontier’s Day Parade.  An Education Presentation on Alaska was given by Fisher Novencido.  The host for the meeting was Cassy Welch.  Submitted by:  Ignatius Kirby, Reporter.

The C/C Sidekicks held their monthly March, 2016 club meeting at the Trinity United Methodist Church.  The meeting was called to order by Megan Dawson, Vice President.  Roll call was answered by 14 members, 3 leaders and 5 guests.  The secretary’s report was read by Adam Ladlie and the treasurer’s report was given by Mercedes Loehr.  A review of the previous meeting included a reminder to turn in enrollment dues, distribution of the the club program, the club photo was taken and an update was given on the woodworking workshop. Club members started planning their D/SAOC Cake Auction participation and plans to help clean up Kennedy Park.  Officer quizzes were returned. Ignatius gave an educational presentation on clay and wood. Josie Novencido led members in an Easter egg hunt for their recreational activity.  The meeting was hosted by Kennedy Johnson, Fisher & Josie Novencido.  Ignatius Kirby, Reporter

The C/C Sidekicks 4-H club held their monthly club meeting on February 21, 2016 at the Trinity United Methodist Church.  The meeting was called to order by club president Caryn Dawson.  Roll call was answered by 16 members, two leaders and 6 guests.  The secretary’s report was read by Adam and the Treasurer’s report was given by Ignatius. A review of the previous club meeting included update on Webster County 4-H Youth Grant, Live Healthy Iowa Kids participation, and planning woodworking workshop.  New club business welcomed some new club members, and those in attendance worked on a Goal Writing Activity.  An educational presentation was given on “horse shoe gun rack” by Chance Tasler. Andrew Creger led the group in left-right valentines as a recreational activity.  The hosts for the meeting were Caryn and Megan Dawson and Josie Matton.  Ignatius Kirby, Reporter

The C/C sidekicks met on January 10th for their monthly club meeting at the Trinity United Methodist Church.  The meeting was called to order by club president, Caryn Dawson.  Roll call was answered by 16 members, three leaders, and three guests. The secretary and treasurer’s reports were both given by Megan Dawson.   A review of the previous meeting included a reminder to pay enrollment dues and submit officer quizzes.  An update was given regarding the application for a Webster County 4-H Youth Grant for an Almost Home Animal Shelter Project. They also discussed participation in Live Healthy Iowa Kids.  Current business included Wishing club members Caryn and Fisher a happy birthday.  The club program and calendar was distributed.  A club photo was taken and the group started to plan a woodworking project workshop.  Educational presentations were given on “Chicago Trip” by Caryn Dawson and “Shooting Sports” by Scott Boro.  The meeting was hosted by Ignatius, Connor and Andrew.  Ignatius Kirby, Reporter

The C/C Sidekicks 4-H Club held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, September 14, 2015 at the Creger family residence. The meeting was called to order by club president, Caryn Dawson. Roll call was answered by 11 members, two leaders, and four guests. Mercedes Loehr shared the secretary and treasurer reports.  The club reviewed record book information due before September 23rd. Caryn and Andrew shared their experiences from attending the 4-H ISU Football game trip.  New items discussed included election of officers, the scarecrow contest at the Community Apple Orchard, and National 4-H Week. An educational presentation on “Para cord bracelets” was given by Deidra and Estella Moffit. The host for the meeting was Andrew Creger.  Megan Dawson, Reporter
