Nation’s Premier Site for Water Quality Drives Progress

AMES, Iowa – Scientists often take many roads that lead to progress. For Iowa State University’s water quality research, an important path has gone through Gilmore City, Iowa.

A farm just outside the north-central Iowa town is home to Iowa State University’s Agriculture Drainage Research and Demonstration Site, a facility that has been working to further Iowa State University’s water conservation efforts since 1990. Upcoming Soil Conference

The Drake University Agricultural Law Center, in cooperation with the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture at Iowa State University, will host a two-day conference to explore soil and water conservation policy.

The conference, titled “Sustaining Our Iowa Land (SOIL): The Past, Present, and Future of Iowa’s Soil and Water Conservation Policy,” is Nov. 19-20 at the Olmsted Center, Drake University. Read more about Upcoming Soil Conference
