“All Things Elderberry” will be a program presented by Kurt Garretson of East Grove Farms, Salem, IA. The program will be held at the Washington County Extension Office on March 28 at 6:30 pm. Garretson will discuss different varieties of elderberries, tips on growing them, and making elderberry wine.

The Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Master Gardener program will hold its core training sessions this fall for individuals interested in becoming Master Gardeners.  Washington County Extension will be a training location.

The Washington County Master Gardeners are offering a $500 scholarship to a deserving Washington County resident pursuing a horticultural related degree or certificate from a college or university in the state of Iowa.  Click here for application.
