New in 2017 4-H/FFA sheep and goats will weigh-in on different dates at the Washington County Fairgrounds. The goats will weigh-in on May 4 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the goat barn. Lambs will weigh-in on May 6 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at the sheep barn.

The annual food safety & quality assurance training is scheduled for April 29 for 4-H’ers. This educational program helps youth understand their role in the food supply chain and educates youth about the importance of following a quality assurance program when raising market animals.
A veterinary feed directive (VFD) is a written statement given to an animal owner by a veterinarian that is similar to a prescription. Youth must obtain a VFD order from their veterinarian to get the VFD feed. Click here for guide.
