Most college bound high school seniors are thinking about the same things this time of year.  Where should I go to college?  Which one is right for me?  How do I find out what a college is really like?  Who do I talk to?

Washington County Extension is providing a service to local high school students by providing a local connection to Iowa State University.  Shauna Sieren, office assistant at the Washington County Extension office is a 2001 graduate of Iowa State University in the college of agriculture.  Sieren grew up on a farm southwest of West Chester and attended Keota schools.

“I knew where I wanted to go to college but many students have no idea what college they want to attend,” said Sieren.  “Our office is the Iowa State University extension in Washington County.  We would like to help students learn about ISU and give them some contacts.  I am here to help do whatever I can to answer their questions,”  she added.

For more information, contact Shauna Sieren at the Washington County Extension office at 319-653-4811.
