The Riverside Ramblers 4-H club has donated $500 to the new Washington County Fair Exhibition Hall on the fairgrounds. The club responded to a challenge from the Horse & Pony club.
If eight 4-H clubs donate $500 each to the building fund, the Horse & Pony club will donate an additional $500 to their initial $500 donation in July.
The new Washington County Fair Exhibition Hall will be a two level, handicapped accessible building. The building will house Iowa State University Extension, the fair manager’s office, large meeting room and kitchen area, smaller meeting rooms, public restrooms and showers.
Donations and gifts are payable to Washington County Fair Building Fund. Mail donations to Hills Bank & Trust, P.O. Box 1210, Kalona, Iowa 52247.
