The Limecreek Livewires 4-H Club recently made a $500 donation to the Washington County Fair Building Fund. This met the Horse and Pony 4-H Club challenge issued last July. Their challenge was this: If eight 4-H clubs donate $500 each to the new building, the Horse & Pony Club will add $500 to the $500 they donated last July.
The new Washington County Fair Exhibition Hall will be a two level, handicapped accessible building. The building will house Iowa State University Extension, the fair manager’s office, large meeting room and kitchen area, smaller meeting rooms, public restrooms and showers.
Donations may be payable to the Washington County Fair Building Fund through Hills Bank & Trust, PO Box 1210, Kalona, IA 52247.
