Now is a perfect time to enroll in 4-H!  We have a club for all youth in grades K-12.  We also have plenty of room for adult volunteers.

Be sure to check out the 4-H clubs in Washington County to find one that works for you.

The 4-H enrollment form, medical information/release form (4-H'ers/adults), and the fee are due by November 15th.  Don't forget to browse through the 4-H Pick-A-Project paper to find the project areas you are interested in.  For easier reference to project numbers, check out the project listings.

4-H independent membership is again available for Iowa youth in grades 4-12.  Independent memberships were created for youth who have life circumstances that will not allow them to attend meetings.

Independent 4-H members will learn in partnership with a mentor chosen by them, their parents and county Iowa State University (ISU) Extension staff. 4-H independent members can choose a project and participate in camps and project workshops.

Independent 4-H’ers will get the social benefits of 4-H membership through participation in fundraising efforts, completion of community service projects, giving presentations demonstrating their learning and meeting with their mentors.
