Washington County youth interested in exhibiting at Ak-Sar-Ben September 23-28, in Omaha, need to be aware of the upcoming entry deadline. Entry forms and fees are due August 15 to the Washington County Extension Office.

The “Planes, Trains, and Automobiles” themed Kid’s Day was held on Tuesday, July 15, at the Washington County Fair. Three hundred youth enjoyed this fun event.

Shauna Sieren, Iowa State recruiter from Washington County Extension, attended to answer questions about Iowa State and provide additional information about the university.

4-H Launches Online Volunteer Training

Volunteering for 4-H just got easier. Training is now available online or by DVD for those volunteers whose schedules keep them from attending the face to face trainings in their county.
