The 76 Progressives 4-H Club washed windows for over 30 businesses in Keota on April 23 and May 7 to raise money for the new building at the fairgrounds. The 4-H club did this to meet the Horse and Pony Club’s challenge for clubs to donate at least $500 to the building project.
Club members washed windows for donations, and as a result of their efforts, were able to raise over $1,000 for the project. The club was able to meet their goal and have extra money for additional community service projects.
The 76 Progressives club is the 11th 4-H/FFA group to donate money to the building project since the fund-raising started nearly a year ago. For more information on the building project you may contact the Washington County Extension office at 319-653-4811.
