The Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship is the lead agency responding to avian influenza in Iowa. ISU Extension and Outreach will continue to be involved in the response. The College of Veterinary Medicine has posted resources at http://vetmed.iastate.edu/aiv-background-and-resources.

Rates for custom machine work and services are showing a steady increase again for 2015, according to the 2015 Iowa Farm Custom Rate Survey. The service categories that were surveyed include information on tillage, planting, spraying, harvesting and hauling grain and forages. Click here for survey.

Washington County Extension will reshow the Manure Applicator Programs on the first Friday of each month for those that were unable to attend a workshop. If you need to schedule a reshow at any other time, you will be charged a $10 fee per person.
