The Iowa Pork Industry Center and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach are teaming up to provide training for pork producers and others who need certification in the Pork Quality Assurance Plus(PQA Plus) program. One certification session has been set for January 19 in Washington County.

December 5, 2016

A veterinary feed directive (VFD) is a written statement given to an animal owner by a veterinarian that is similar to a prescription.  Youth must obtain a VFD order from their veterinarian to get the VFD feed.  Click here for guide.

December 4, 2016

Beginning Jan. 1, 2017, veterinary oversight will be required when using medically important antibiotics for treatment, prevention and control through Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD). Click here for resources.
