A record breaking 125 Iowa 4-H volunteers from 91 counties were inducted into the 2015 Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame on Sunday, Aug. 23 at the 4-H Exhibits Building at the Iowa State Fair.  Shirley Bohr was presented a certificate by the Iowa 4-H Foundation as she was introduced on stage. Shirley and her late husband, Harold, were inducted this year.  A reception, sponsored by donors to the Iowa 4-H Foundation, was held shortly after the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame presentations.

Meaghan Anderson is an ISU Extension and Outreach agronomy specialist. Meaghan works from the Johnson County Extension Office in Iowa City and serves eastern Iowa counties including: Benton, Buchanan, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Linn, Poweshiek, Tama and Washington. The position was formerly held by Jim Fawcett who retired from service in December 2013.  Click here for Crop Update.

Washington County Farm Bureau supports Washington County 4-H in many ways all throughout the year.   They recently donated $2 towards every 4-H members’ enrollment fees for the 2014-2015 year.  This over $800 donation helps keep enrollment fees affordable for more families to participate.
