I am from Westphalia, Iowa. My current job is working for Dr. Ajay Nair as a research assistant in the Horticulture Department. I like to hunt, fish, and do anything outside. My career goals are to one day own a farm with 80+ acres so I can grow field corn and soybeans; as well as an assortment of fruits and vegetables.
My name is Angelica Flores. I was originally born in Chihuahua, Mexico. At the age of two, my parents and I moved to Wapello, Iowa. Since then I have moved around Iowa; we have lived in Chariton, Lucas, and Monroe. I have studied Spanish and Child, Adult, and Family Services at ISU and now I am studying Horticulture. This summer I am working for Dr. Ajay Nair; I assist him and graduate students in the Horticulture Vegetable lab and I also help out at the Horticulture Research Station. I enjoy photography, cooking, music, gardening, and ice cream. After graduation I want to work, gain experience, and then decide what my destination is going to be.
I am a senior horticulture major, with emphasis in fruit and vegetable production. I am a native of Iowa City, IA and currently working under Dr. Ajay Nair, assisting with field and lab work. In my spare time I enjoy candlelight dinners, the music of Teddy Pendergrass, and long walks on the beach. I hope to attend graduate school following his graduation in December. My long term career goal as a wondering vagabond was shot down following the unexpected lack of an apocalypse last December.
