Area of Expertise: Diane Huntrods specializes in web site development and maintenance for the Ag Marketing Resource Center (AgMRC). She is responsible for the content of over 100 commodity topics for AgMRC’s value-added agricultural web site, www.agmrc.org/. Huntrods also handles inquiries from individuals who have accessed the web site. She has assumed some general communications responsibilities as well. Reflecting her interest in international affairs, Huntrods recently completed the revision of an almond production manual for an Afghan nongovernmental organization (NGO).

Additional Biographical Information: Huntrods grew up on a family farm in central Iowa. She graduated from the University of Denver with a degree in English education. Teaching assignments at a Colorado public school and a Saudi Arabian private school followed. After earning a master’s degree from Iowa State University and the University of Colorado at Denver, she held technical communications positions with the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) in Boulder, Colorado, and with McDonnell Douglas Corporation in Aurora, Colorado. Before joining AgMRC, she worked at Iowa State as a proposal editor, coordinating the completion of more than 70 proposals a year, and as the project coordinator for a national team of ag engineers preparing an animal stewardship curriculum (http://www.lpes.org/), concentrated animal feeding operation fact sheets and animal stewardship fact sheets for small-scale farmers.
