Malinda Geisler is a specialist for the Agricultural Marketing Resource Center based at Iowa State University in Ames. She is responsible for the content of more than 50 commodity, food and tourism topics for this value-added agricultural Web site: www.agmrc.org/.
Additional Biographical Information:
Geisler grew up on a diversified family farm 35 miles west of Ames, Iowa. She graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in agricultural journalism. Geisler began her career with the newspaper Iowa Farmer Today. She spent eight years as publications writer-editor for the National Pork Producers Council in Des Moines. Prior to joining AgMRC, she established a freelance writing business. She holds a master’s degree in Professional Agriculture from ISU. Geisler and her husband, Darrell, manage Geisler Farms Inc., a corn and soybean farm located northeast of Des Moines. In 2005, the farm launched Growing Family Fun, an agritourism business.
