Pullorum Testing June 22nd

Any 4-H member planning to exhibit poultry or other birds at the Union county Fair must have their birds tested for Pullorum. A special 4-H exhibitor Pullorum testing date has been set for Saturday, June 22 at tge Union County Fair Grounds from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.  In order to recieve the discounted testing rate, be sure to attend at this time. Please let the extension office know if you plan to attend this testing as we would like to know the number attending.

4-H T-Shirt Orders Due July 1st

Attached is the order form to order 4-H t-shirts for the fair. This year we are offering white, green and black t-shirts. Please contact the extension office with any questions.  T-shirt order form

ServSafe Class June 17th

ServSafe, the national certification program for food service mangers, will be held in Creston June 17, 2013.    The cost of the course is $135 which includes 8 hours class time, a manual, and the national certification exam.  It will be held at ISU Extension and Outreach office in Creston.  Anyone needing to take the recertification exam only may contact the office for more information. Registration is required by June 14.

Pressure Canner Testing

             Safely Preserve your Summer Bounty with a tested dial pressure canner for the canning season!!      

       Bring your dial pressure canner lid to the  Union County Extension and Outreach Office  in  Creston for testing.
