Beef producers can become Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) Certified at one of three meetings on Dec.2. The meetings are co-hosted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, Iowa Beef Industry Council and Iowa Cattlemen’s Association.

A workshop featuring the newly updated version of the Feedlot Monitoring Program (FMP) software will be Thursday, Dec. 4, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach office in Sac County.

October 10, 2014

Iowa farmers and landowners will learn about the new programs authorized by the 2014 Farm Bill at informational meetings conducted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and local USDA Farm Service Agency staff members. Meetings will be held across the state to explain options available under the new Farm Bill.

The small farm sustainability program is re-introducing the ISU Extension and Outreach Acreage Living newsletter in an online format. Those living on small farms and acreages will find value resources in the newsletter, on the website and in future online courses offered by the program.
