AMES, Iowa – The 89th annual Soil Management and Land Valuation Conference, the longest running conference at Iowa State University, will be held on May 18 in the Scheman Building on the ISU campus.

The conference, which runs from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., is sponsored by the ISU College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and ISU Extension and Outreach. It is intended for farm managers, rural land appraisers, real estate brokers and others interested in the land market in Iowa.

Come join the fun with the Iowa State University Extension & Outreach day camps. These camps will be offered at the Tama City Park, Gladbrook City Park and Traer City Park. All are welcome but you must register by June 1. Cost is $15.00 per camp and limit of 24 youth at each session. Wear appropriate clothing, bring a sack lunch (snacks and beverages will be provided) and join the fun. This year the themes will be Art Explosion and Animal Dectives. Tama County Extension and Outreach seeks an Executive Director responsible for educational program planning & delivery, budget & facilities management, day to day supervision of staff. Coordinates programming in agriculture and natural resources, community & economic development, human sciences, & 4-H youth development in cooperation with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Responsible for marketing/public relations & networking with community organizations/ agencies. Reports to Tama County Extension  and Outreach Council. Bachelor's Degree required. 5 years supervisory experience or equivalent & 2 years' experience in coordinating delivery of educational services & programs or equivalent.
